Description:
A system for quickly switching weapon configurations and commands on turrets,
as well as quick turret disable/enable.
The software adds the ability to store and quickly toggle the eight weapon configurations and commands installed on all of the ship’s turrets.
For switching, it is mandatory to have weapons saved in the configuration in the cargo compartment of the ship. The current turret control commands are memorized along with the armament.
It is also possible to disable/enable turrets individually — not by disarming them, but by disarming the current team.
Getting Started:
The following equipment installed on the ship is required to use this system: Fight Command Software MK1, Fight Command Software MK2, Special Command Software MK1.
In the ship’s additional commands menu, there is a Bombardier: Weapon configuration, which is used to view and adjust weapon configurations and additional parameters. 12 hotkeys are also used.
Hotkeys are used to switch between configurations. An audible warning is given when switching or inability to switch.
The following steps are required to access the 8 configurations:
Weapon Configuration 1 … Weapon Configuration 4 — gives access to configurations 1 to 4.
Select another four Weapon Conf -> Weapon Configuration 5 … Weapon Configuration 8 — gives access to configurations 5 to 8.
Recording the currently installed armament into one of the four configurations is done either from the Bombardier: Weapon configuration menu, or by using the additional Start Weapon Conf. recording hotkey. The system will wait 10 seconds for you to press the hotkey of the configuration into which you wish to record the current status of the ship’s weapons and commands.
Simultaneously with weapon slotting, the slotting of all turrets is recorded and information about the current command being executed on each turret is stored.
In the Bombardier: Weapon configuration menu, it is possible to disable the mode of replacing commands with saved ones when changing the configuration using the Save turret commands in configuration option, i.e. when saving the configuration, the current commands on the turrets will be saved, but when selecting the configuration — only the armament will be replaced, not the commands.
There is also an auto-correct mode for faulty configurations, which is set in the configuration menu and is off by default. In normal mode without Auto Correct:, if you do not have enough weapons to switch to a saved configuration, no switch will take place. If such an incorrect configuration is displayed in the Bombardier: Weapon configuration menu, you will receive a message about the missing armament and be prompted to fix the configuration using the Fix option.
If Auto Fix mode — is enabled, the change to a configuration that does not have enough weapons will be made within the limits of the weapons available, but the configuration itself will not be changed, you will only receive an error message. If you view such a configuration through the menu, it will be corrected automatically.
For those who find it difficult or inconvenient to explicitly save the changed configuration, an additional AutoSave on change mode has been introduced. It is disabled by default. If it is enabled, all changes made to the current weapon configuration will be saved in that configuration when switching to any other configuration.
7 more hotkeys: On/Off Turret 1 … On/Off Turret 6 and On/Off All Turrets — used to stop/start commands on turrets. They work on the trigger principle, i.e. if a command is currently running on the turret, it will be stopped; if no command is currently running on the turret, an attempt will be made to start a command from the current weapon configuration from the last one used or stored on the ship.
